Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 28, 2026
Welcome to “Will It Fit?” (the “Service”). This website, calculator tool, scanning interface, dynamic route system, and underlying codebase are created, owned, developed, and administered by the individual creator and programmer of this Service (hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider”, “Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all usage of the Service.
1. Volumetric Estimations & Fitment Disclaimer
“Will It Fit?” is a mathematical estimation tool designed to calculate whether the bounding box dimensions of an item fit within the estimated cargo boundaries of a selected vehicle.
- Estimations, Not Guarantees: Our calculations do not constitute a physical guarantee that an item will fit in your vehicle.
- Geometrical Variations: Passenger vehicles are not perfect rectangles. Our calculations do not account for interior trim protrusions, wheel-well intrusions, sloped rear windows, trunk hinge mechanisms, seat belt anchorages, console dividers, or the angle of rear seat inclines.
- Loading Angles: The math engine compares volume bounds; it does not calculate the physical clearance path required to maneuver or pivot a box through a vehicle door or trunk opening.
2. Assumption of Transportation Risk & Cargo Safety
You assume all risk associated with loading, placing, securing, and transporting cargo in your vehicle.
- Driver Visibility & Vehicle Control: You are solely responsible for ensuring that any cargo placed inside your vehicle does not obstruct the driver’s line of sight, interfere with control pedals or steering wheels, block mirrors, or compromise passenger seating safety.
- Compliance with Traffic Laws: You agree to comply with all local, state, and federal motor vehicle safety and transit laws. We do not license or authorize you to transport cargo with open trunk lids, unsecured doors, or protruding loads that violate public safety laws.
3. Third-Party Retailer Data & Package Sizes
When you use the paste-URL scanner or search database items, the Service parses product specifications from public retail sources.
- Product vs. Package Sizes: Retailers often publish assembled product dimensions (e.g., a dresser's standing height) instead of the flat-packed shipping package dimensions (which are typically longer and flatter). You are responsible for verifying whether the dimensions represent the shipping box or the final assembled product.
- No Verification: We do not verify third-party retailer listings. Dimensions are provided “As-Is” without warranties of accuracy.
4. Vehicle Database Limits
Our vehicle cargo database is aggregated from manufacturer listings, public databases (including NHTSA seeds), and generative estimations. We make no warranty that the specifications match your specific vehicle's trim, seat packages, or mid-year manufacturer modifications.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider, Developer, administrator, and programmer of this codebase, website, and database shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This limitation of liability applies personally to the individual creator, programmer, and owner of this Service. It includes, without limitation:
- Property Damage: Scratches, tears, breaks, or structural damage to your vehicle, vehicle interior, windows, or cargo.
- Personal Injury: Injuries sustained while attempting to maneuver, load, or transport cargo.
- Traffic Incidents: Collisions, accidents, or traffic violations resulting from cargo blocking visibility or sliding from the vehicle.
- Financial Loss: Costs incurred due to purchases of products that do not fit.
6. Permitted Use & Commercial Rate Limits
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial, revocable license to access the calculator tools. Automated scraping, bulk harvesting of vehicle database dimensions, or reverse engineering of the clearance math engine is strictly prohibited. Any commercial, corporate, or high-volume logistical usage (including but not limited to delivery networks, courier services, or moving fleets) is prohibited without a separate written license. We reserve the absolute right to throttle, rate-limit, block, or terminate access for high-frequency queries or suspected commercial usage to prevent API abuse and cost spikes.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Service Provider, Developer, owner, and administrator of this Service personally from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the Service; (ii) your transportation, packing, loading, or carriage of cargo in connection with calculations provided by the Service; (iii) your violation of any term of these Terms of Service; or (iv) your violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right.
8. No Professional or Engineering Advice
The estimations, fitment matrices, and clearance warnings provided by the Service do not constitute professional engineering, automotive loading, cargo rigging, towing, or transport safety advice. You are solely responsible for checking your vehicle’s official owner's manual for cargo weight limits, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), roof load limits, and secure tie-down protocols. Never load a vehicle beyond its structural or legal capacities.
